Purpose and Target Group

Purpose

The Training Center for Nursing Development aims to qualitatively improve practical clinical nursing abilities, clinical nursing research abilities, nursing management ability and the nursing education of nursing staff. This center
incorporates the latest information each year, and plans and implements highly-specialized training.


Target Group

We provide courses for nurses working at six National Advanced Medical Research Centers (NCs), the National Hospital Organization (NHO), and the National Hansen’s Disease Sanatorium (NHDS), as well as for the teachers who work in nursing schools attached to those NHO and NHDS.


Education Programs

Long-term courses

Certified Nurses Education Program (2001 ~ 2013):

Certified Nurse (CN) system is designed to spread quality nursing care at nursing sites. The roles of CNs are to perform nursing practice at high level, instruction of nurses, and consultation with nurses. To be a CN, a candidate  needs to pass the accredited examination given by the Japan Nursing Association (JNA) after completing the required education program for certification.

- Cancer Chemotherapy Nursing
- Infection Control
- Cancer Pain management
- Wound, Ostomy and Contience (WOC)

Certified Nurse Administrators, Second Level Education Program (2010,2014):

Certified Nurse Administrator (CNA) system is designed to provide quality organizational nursing services. To be a CNA, a candidate needs to pass the accredited examination given by the JNA after completing an education
program for certification.

Training Seminar for Nurse Preceptors for Clinical Practicum:

(For nurses more with than 5 years of experience)
This Seminar aims to encourage trainees to understand the significance of clinical nursing practicum and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for effective clinical instruction.

Short-term courses

Training aimed at obtaining the latest knowledge and techniques as nursing continues to evolve.
Training in order to deepen learning and become an expert.
These courses take about one or two days to one week.
