Reiko Sato, R.N., Ph.D.

Our graduate program was inaugurated in April, 2006, the same year as our first baccalaureate graduation. We have an important mission in facilitating policy-based nursing, which is unique to this institution. Our students choose one specialist field from six fields on their enrollment, and acquire the necessary knowledge and methodology for their master’s theses on policy-based nursing. A particular feature of our course is the 20 faculty members, rich in both research and education, who mentor their students in writing their theses as well as in developing presentation skills. Our graduates are expected to play an important role as leaders in the National Advanced Medical Centers, in international healthcare cooperation, or educators both in nursing education and research in the field of policy-based healthcare.
